Upcoming OUTDOOR WORSHIP Sundays: Sept. 27th and October 11

  • These worship services will continue to be available online for those not ready/able to attend.

  • Masks/face coverings will be required and rather than singing together, we will enjoy special music. (If you don’t have a mask, we will have a few extras on hand)

  • Please bring your own lawn chair and a source of shade if you wish (umbrellas, canopies, etc.)

  • Please give yourself enough time to arrive and set up your spot (at least 6 ft from your neighbor) before we begin to worship at 9.

  • In the case of rain on those Sunday mornings, please stay home, as we will just hold regular online worship inside. (If unsure, please check HERE, pastor will post any cancellations by 7 am the morning of)

  • Other things to consider bringing while worshiping outside in the summer heat: sunscreen, sunglasses/a hat, bug spray, water/something to keep you hydrated, any spare change you’ve been saving up from our Lenten challenge and/or blankets you’ve been holding onto, your offering.

  • Invite your friends, family, neighbors, etc. ALL are welcome even if we have to keep our distance!

Office Hours:

Office Hours: Amanda is in the office during her regular hours MWF 9am to Noon, but the building remains closed to the public. In order to limit exposure and keep both you and her safe, we ask that when possible you go to the building when she is not there. Please follow guidelines for wearing masks and sanitizing in and out of the building at all times. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this time.

Ways to contact us:

Pastor Paris currently does not have established office hours as she is working from home, but she is still available via email, phone, or for a socially distanced visit. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any needs that may arise. We are in this together.

Food Pantry Challenge!

We might not be gathering in person every week for awhile, but it is still important to us that our neighbors are fed! The Food Pantry Challenge will continue with you making direct donations to SELCC, all you have to do is call before you drop items off. You could also make a financial donation by mailing a check to PO Box 511, Lisbon, IA 52253 or give online at selinn.org.

Items they need: Kleenex, toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo, instant rice, canned chunky soups, applesauce, diced tomatoes, jelly, and loaves of bread.

Keep collecting lightly used(washed) and new blankets and bring them to outdoor worship OR drop them off at church during office hours. We will bless them in worship on September 27th and then distributed to the homeless in the Cedar Rapids area!
